As long as I can remember, I’ve been a book person. Trips to the library were just as commonplace as the packed shelves of my bookcase at home. I just loved to read and I still do.
With the exclamations of “How is it already December?” hanging around as much as the tinsel and mistletoe, I’ve kicked my shopping into high gear. Not surprisingly, there are books on my to-buy list. I know I am not alone and that there are also people wanting to buy someone a book but at times not being 100% sure of what to get.
This is where Season’s Readings: 12 Days of Book-mas comes in. Since I often ask around for input in what to get someone (and often end up getting myself a copy as well,) the next twelve days will contain ideas to hopefully help you check someone off your list.
Since my Sister-in-Law and niece have been visiting us, it also is a great starting point since this is one of the books I gave her recently.
A great gift for babies and toddlers
- Name of book: Moo Baa La La La
- Author: Sandra Boynton
- What is about: The silly story is based around the sounds that animals make but then there are the singing pigs. Yes, that is right, singing pigs.
- Why I like it/recommend it: I have gifted this book numerous times to little ones and it is always a hit. I think it is absolutely adorable. The colorful and bold lined drawings catch the attention of the baby or toddler and the board book style pages survive the grabbing hands.I consider this a new classic and it will continue to be a staple when buying for little ones.
- Other things people should know: This book is also part of a boxed set.
